In 2010, I was a mess. To the outside world, it appeared that my life was great. I had just graduated from law school, landed a new job, and had a fiancé. Things seemed amazing, but they weren’t. Something was missing. Over the next year and a half, I experienced test after test. I went through a very public and humiliating break-up, harassment on my job, battled with low-self-esteem, and not knowing my worth in Christ.
I would constantly ask God, “Why are you allowing these things to happen to me?” “Where are you?” At my wits end, I decided to pick up a journal and literally pour my heart out to Jesus. I wrote down all my frustrations, disappointments, and burdens, and literally left them at Jesus’ feet. I didn't know what else to do. Day after day, I continued to pour my heart out. I watched Jesus step in and literally rescue me. He loved me back to life. Through my quiet time with Him, He told me that I was beautiful, forgave me, and restored me. He also placed a desire in my heart to help young to mid age woman through the rough times in life.
Rescued Hearts is for any woman who has dealt with hurt, embarrassment, depression, abuse, loneliness, and low self-esteem. It is also for women who just have ISSUES!!! Any woman who has sought a deeper relationship with Christ, struggled with knowing her purpose, struggled with knowing her worth, struggled with feeling like she doesn't belong…Am I talking to you?
We as women have a tendency to bottle up things. We bottle our hurt, and find ourselves in a broken state. But, God doesn't want that! He wants to mend your broken heart, and to heal you from every hurt. That is what Rescued Hearts is all about!
I am here to encourage you to run to Christ when life seems unbearable, and to motivate you to spend time with Him daily. The heart is so important. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 4:23 NLT, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do.” Hurt, sin, depression, low-self esteem, pride, money, and so many other things can corrupt our hearts. But, Jesus wants to rescue us from all those things and fill our hearts with Him. He wants our hearts to look just like His. He wants to RESCUE your HEART today…will you let Him? ♥
